Balance Bar- Cookie Dough

I'm amazed at myself, two reviews in one day. Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about this Balance Bar. Yesterday, I made a trip to the grocery store to pick up some more Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Luna Protein Bars. I was looking down the aisle when I noticed that the Balance Bar Company had a protein bar also in the flavor Cookie Dough, so I decided to give it a try. I mean what could go wrong? The Luna Bars were great, as I said in my review. Apparently everything could go wrong, starting with the artificial smell that bombarded my nose when I opened the package. The smell was very off putting. I decided to just ignore the smell and take a bite, after all you shouldn't just a book by it's cover right? Wrong, the flavor was almost as worse as the smell. I didn't even taste the slightest hint of cookie dough. Although if you cut the bar open the inside resembles a roll of cookie dough. It has a strong protein taste, that I found overwhelming. The Balance Bar also contains more calories than the Luna Bar does. The Luna Bar contains 170 calories, 50 calories from fat, 6 grams of fat, and 12 grams of protein. The Balance Bar contains 210 calories, 60 calories from fat, 7 grams of fat, and 15 grams of protein. All in all the taste isn't the only thing unappealing about the Balance Bar. If I had to recommend either the Luna Bar or the Balance Bar I would suggest the Luna Bar, they also retail for the same price $1.49 at my grocery store. But everyone's opinion is different, and this is just me stating mine! Talk to you guys later!

Kellogg's Fiber Plus- Chocolate Chip

Hey everyone, I am back to do another review. This time I am reviewing Kellogg's Fiber Plus Bar in the flavor chocolate chip. I am a huge fan of the Fiber One bars, so I thought why not give Kellogg a try. I can honestly say that I'm glad that I did. I found that this bar was better than the Fiber One bars, due to texture and taste. I'll start with taste, I found that the overall chocolate flavor of the bar was less artificial tasting than with a Fiber One bar. Also, the Kellogg's bar seemed to contain more oats, unlike the Fiber One bars that contain only rice puffs. I would definitely recommend adding this in to a breakfast rotation in the morning or a snack in the afternoon. This review has actually turned out to be kind of short! Oh Well, talk to you guys later :)

Luna Protein Bars-Cookie Dough

I just recently tried Luna Protein Bars in the flavor chocolate chip cookie dough. I must say I am in love. Luna bars are made by the Clif Bar & Company. I was not a fan of the infamous Clif bars, I found them rather disgusting. I was not a fan of the texture and overall thickness of these bars. I had recently heard a favorite YouTuber of mine mention her love of Luna Bars, so I decided I would give them a try. When I arrived at the grocery store, there were so many flavors I couldn't decide which flavor I wanted to try and then I laid eyes on the Luna Protein Bar. What drew me to this bar you ask? My love for cookie dough. When I saw it was chocolate chip cookie dough flavored, I couldn't help myself. When I got home I immediately wanted to try the bar. It tasted as wonderful as I thought it would. The chocolate was sweet but not overwhelming, the nougat on the inside contained mini semi sweet chocolate chips along with air puff crisps, to add a twist in texture. Overall the nougat was sublime, I couldn't have asked for anything better. The bar retailed for $1.49 at my grocery store, they come in five flavors; chocolate, mint chocolate, chocolate cherry, chocolate peanut butter, and cookie dough. I can't wait to try more flavors!
